Low Carb "Pasta" Spaghetti Squash to the Rescue!!

If you are trying to cut out wheat, carbs, or just eat healthier in general, spaghetti squash is an awesome substitute!  I know what you're thinking, squash?  REALLY?  Will I like that?  Will my kids eat it?  Is it hard to make? 

Well, all I can say is I like it, my kids liked it, and NO it was SUPER EASY!!  

See below for the simple way to make spaghetti squash:)  

STEP 1: Cut Squash In Half


STEP 2: Clean Out Seeds With A Spoon


STEP 3: Turn Squash Over and Add A Little Water To Cover Bottom Of Pan

 STEP 4: Prick The Outside Of The Squash With A Fork

STEP 5: Bake At 350 Degrees for 45 Minutes to One Hour - Remove From Oven and Let Cool - Use a Fork To Scrape the Spaghetti Strands From The Inside Of The Squash Into A Bowl

STEP 6: ENJOY!!!  Add your favorite spaghetti sauce with some Parmesan cheese and YUM!!


OTHER OPTIONS:
  • Top with some olive oil, toasted garlic, salt, and pepper
  • Butter, salt, and pepper
  • Sun dried tomatoes, olive oil, salt, and pepper topped with grated Parmesan cheese
  • Top with chili and cheese
  • Stir in salt, pepper, and melt cheese over top with some butter
Possibilities are ENDLESS!!
